  29. \fBPanic\fR prints an error message on the standard error file and
  30. then kills the process by calling \fBabort\fR.  The \fIformat\fR and
  31. \fIarg\fR arguments control the printing of the message just as if
  32. they had been passed to \fBprintf\fR.
